with everything in this house lately, things are done quickly. if you procrastinate, it never gets done because the earth is just spinning way to fast in avenson land to ever catch up. I just peeked inside my room and currently, you are wide awake, laying in bed. i need just one more cup of coffee, my love, and then i will join you.
Feats of GREATNESS
1. Smiling to anyone and everyone who encounters you. They LOVE you and want to eat you up :)
2. Your buoyant laugh. It starts off low and rises to the top with a squealing style
3. Your beginnings of trying to roll over. it will happen very soon. both you and simon loved to sleep on your belly and you are beginning to show that you will go from back to tummy any time
4. Looking in the mirror with mommy, you notice the little boy staring back at you and you play this shy individual - cooing a little bit and then hiding your little head under my neck. You also smile and laugh at this new friend of yours.
5. toleration of being on your own. i can put you in the swing for about 5 - 10 minutes now. this allows me to 'quickly' get something done before I pick you back up again.
6. Mrs. Berlin picked you up the other day and as we talked, you settled right into her shoulder and fell asleep. she didn't want to give you up and even pretended to walk inside her house for the remainder of the evening.
7. Your acceptance of anybody and everybody around you - i find this fascinating and hope it plays out in your future. it will be fun to watch.
side story:
you, daddy and mommy went out the other night. daddy and mommy were discussing 'smart phone' technology (yes, only the most romantic conversation with a computer nerd). after our conversation, we were discussing how 'smart phone' technology will almost be like 8-track tapes from the late 60's and early 70's. they are obsolete (a collectors item) right now. Record players, dial telephones, manual televisions with rabbit ears, etc. Our new 'smart phone' technology that we are talking about and getting giddy about the possibilities will be such an archaic development when you are....well, we will see. how old will you be when we smirk at our smart phone, sitting in a box of things to toss.
Second cup of coffee is almost complete and you are still content. thank you
